      The DMC-52xx0 EtherCAT master controller is GALIL’s first 32-axis motion controller. This controller can control up to 32 drives and 2 I/O modules within a single EtherCAT network, and it features a compact, space-saving design. Users can easily configure and program the controller using EtherCAT configuration commands and GALIL’s intuitive, two-character programming language. The DMC52xx0 comes in five models with 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 axes.

      Program the linked axes in groups of 8 to ensure that, as much as possible, the programming language used is compatible with GALIL’s existing codebase with minimal modifications. GALIL supports EtherCAT drives from numerous manufacturers, providing maximum flexibility to meet users’ application and system integration requirements.

      The DMC52xx0 operates in cyclic synchronous position mode (CSP). In this mode, the servo control loop performs closed-loop control on the EtherCAT drive side, and the DMC52xx0 transmits motion profile data via the EtherCAT network at a rate of 1 kHz. Regarding I/O signals, the DMC-52xx0 controller provides 8 general-purpose inputs, 8 general-purpose outputs, 8 general-purpose analog inputs, and 8 general-purpose analog outputs. Additionally, it features a 100 Mbps Ethernet interface and a USB (serial) interface for communication with a host PC or external devices.
