The RIO-574x0 is a low-cost, compact EtherCAT-based I/O slave device that can be used for remote control in EtherCAT automation systems. The RIO-57000 can be used with standard EtherCAT masters or seamlessly integrated into an EtherCAT system alongside Galil’s EtherCAT motion controllers.
The RIO-574x0 is a low-cost, compact EtherCAT-based I/O slave device that can be used for remote control in EtherCAT automation systems. The RIO-57000 can be used with standard EtherCAT master devices or seamlessly integrated into an EtherCAT system alongside Galil’s EtherCAT motion controllers. The RIO-574x0 does not store application code itself; all program code is stored on the EtherCAT master device used in conjunction with it.
The RIO-574x0 models all feature 16 optically isolated digital inputs and 16 optically isolated digital outputs capable of sourcing up to 500 mA of current. In addition, the RIO-57420 model includes 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs—both voltage ranges for the analog inputs and outputs can be configured within the ranges of 0–5 V, 0–10 V, ±5 V, and ±10 V.
Configuring the RIO-574x0 series via USB using Galil’s software and intuitive two-character commands takes just a few steps.
